That’s the one where your new evals/new patients are up one week, then down the next. Or even worse, you could be on the Demon Drop of New Patients. Each week the new patients are dropping. The good news is that there are simple solutions to each of these not-so-fun amusement park scenarios at your practice.

1-      Maintain consistent contact with your current and past patients. Try thank you notes, past patient post cards, patient check-in calls, or patient referral programs and let them know you’re there for them.

2-      Develop relationships with potential future patients by getting involved in your community, sponsoring and participating in events, holding educational public events, sending out promotional materials direct to consumers and advertising and promoting yourself and your clinic.

3-      Maintain consistent contact with your referral sources. Send information to your sources and tell them about new techniques and technologies at your practice, go in person to their offices and deliver information about your practice. Remind them that you deliver patient results quickly.

4-      Develop relationships with doctors, nurses and physician assistants that do not already refer to you. Send them information about your clinic, stop in and talk to them about your clinic, network with them, co-sponsor events with them, introduce them to all the reasons why your clinic is the best to help their patients.
